URGENT RESCUE Journey
Journey is being treated at a local vet with an anticipated long healing process. He has been treated for lice, tapeworms, and his mange is severe, he is plagued with parasites and has a secondary infection...but we are hoping that with some special TLC, this "ugly duckling" will blossom and shine. The Illinois Alaskan Malamute is asking for donations for his extensive care. Project Malamute - Lewis & Clark Humane Society
The Humane Society of the United States’ Animal Rescue Team was called in by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and County Attorney to assist in the rescue of 161 Malamutes from a puppy mill in Jefferson City, Mont. The dogs were being housed in unsanitary conditions and lacked proper socialization and medical care. The animals were seized by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
